The City That Never Gives Up / La Ciudad que No se Rinde [Eng-Esp]

Hello dear Black and White community,
In Peru, people are truly chamba (Peruvian slang for hardworking). They are always finding ways to survive in the vast city of Lima; many leave their hometowns in search of better opportunities for their families.
It’s common to cross paths with musicians on every corner: a man playing the quena an Andean flute that takes you back to the world of the Incas or a blind street performer playing his melodica and delivering a criolla tune, a blend of African, Indigenous, and Spanish influences.
In the market, melodies mix with the voices of street vendors: florists, hawkers, and trucks ready for an improvised move. Lima is a mistura of people who fight every day to move forward with dignity.
Lately, I’ve loved going out to do my shopping and taking the chance to capture these genuine and inspiring moments of people who never give up. Here are some shots from my local market yesterday. I hope one of them becomes your favorite.

Hola querida comunidad en Blanco y Negro
- En Perú, la gente es muy chamba (jerga peruana para decir trabajadora). Siempre buscan recursos para sobrevivir en la gran Lima; muchos dejan sus ciudades para encontrar una mejor oportunidad para sus familias.*
Es común cruzarse con músicos en cada esquina: un hombre tocando la quena instrumento andino que nos transporta al mundo de los incas, o un invidente soplando su melódica y regalando una tonada criolla, esa mezcla de influencias africanas, indígenas y españolas.
En el mercado, las melodías se mezclan con el bullicio de los vendedores ambulantes: floristas, pregoneros y camiones listos para una mudanza improvisada. Lima es una mistura de personas que luchan día a día por salir adelante con dignidad.
Últimamente, me encanta salir a hacer mis compras y aprovechar para capturar esos momentos auténticos y motivadores, llenos de gente que no se rinde. Aquí les comparto algunas fotos de mi mercado de ayer, espero que alguna se convierta en su favorita.
