Loving all of the chattering insects and birds accompanying the storytelling and singing here. Definitely suits the music, from the Maori people of New Zealand. The message that @wildfamily shares here aligns with the "Global Harmony" we value here in the Hive Open Mic event: inclusion and celebration of all people from all walks of life. I appreciate her human touch, going fully into the moment to the point of forgetting the number of repetitions. Truly, music is a heart intelligence that holds its own mysteries.

This performance displays outstanding artistry, demonstrating an instrument that I admire: this four-stringed cousin of the ukulele is aptly named "cuatro", the national instrument of Venezuela.

This artist finds awe inspiring wordplay and a triumphant story in the old Irish folk song shared here. I like the genuine "Irishness" I feel, hearing @jubei333's lovely accent, and sensing the Irish imagery, honoring the rich Irish heritage. He puts his own touch on the song, adapting the music for guitar, explaining that the song is usually performed on the bouzouki—an instrument with three or four courses (sets of two strings), like a 12-string guitar, with a circular body and a long neck.

My entry this week is a gratitude song. As the title suggests, "The Awe The Ease," is full of wonder and feeling. The melody soothes my nervous system like an elixir. The words refresh my memory, recalling the fact that every thread of my existence is embraced and upheld by a higher power. For me, it's an uplift that leaves me as light as a feather, knowing I am safe and strong, living well.

Rewards

Hive Open Mic showcases Hive's gifted musicians. I appreciate these people for stepping up to the microphone with something special to share. This a true act of bravery, and it deserves to be applauded, and rewarded.

This week each artist earned 1.22 HIVE as a bonus, through our tip jar, in addition to the upvotes they received individually. This week's tip jar is extra rewarding thanks to generous upvotes by @created, @livingfree, @jphamer1, @pfunk, @steemychicken1, @buildawhale, @likwid, @partitura, and others.

To me, we all benefit through the expressions and the connections generated here between musicians and music fans. While it's impossible to define the total value of the gifts given in the Hive Open Mic, we can see that the energetic exchange is significant. I am proud of us.

Inspiration

"Easy" is a hit song by Commodores, written by music star Lionel Richie. Here, the writer performs with guest vocalist Lyfe Jennings, who really brings the emotional feeling, the passion, the heart. I appreciate the way the legendary Lionel Richie holds space for the newcomer to shine, sharing the spotlight. This performance is a joyful co-creation between incredibly talented artists.

Acknowledgements

This week's Hive Open Mic included musicians from five continents, making it truly a global event. I'm grateful for our Hive platform, making possible this chance to express and connect with a worldwide community. To me, Hive Open Mic serves as a chance to practice being in harmony with the planet as a whole. I am honored to be here, hearing our Hive humming and buzzing.

Thanks to all the musicians, bringing their talents to the stage, and thanks to the music fans for their encouragement, through upvotes and encouraging comments. I'm happy to see this event evolving over time, amplifying excellent musicianship while holding space for newcomers too. This is a safe haven, where all are welcome, and everyone is invited to stretch and grow by the songs we share.
