I really enjoy how the basil is growing straight out of the old dead stalk. The bright green bursting through the old brown hardened stem. The grow spans the entirety of the stem that hasn't been cut and this plant seems to have a ton of longevity. I feel like this plant is going to last a long long time.

I don't have quite as high hopes for this poor pepper plant. It seems to have lost all of it's rigidity and seems to be starting its slow decline towards death. The leaves are still a nice green but the plant has shown little progress and doesn't seem to have a bright future.

Hard to discern from this photo but I think a little sliver has begun poking its head through the soil. I was getting a bit worried about this plant after the white seed suddenly turned brown a few days ago so it's nice to see some possible growth beginning. I'm optimistic that we will see a sprout once again.
