Gillbert's home for the night while I let everything settle from cleaning.
Tank looking pretty gross and I've been putting off the cleaning but no more!
Took everything out for a rinse and scrub in the sink. In the process I managed to pop off one of the suctions for my pump. I got it back on so no need to worry. Most of this stuff was quite gross and needed a major soak and scrub.
Next I put all of my planter and grow stones into the sink and they are actually still soaking as I'm writing this. I gave the planters a really good scrub but I will give them another scrub shortly to ensure they are nice and clean.
The water and tank and looking substantially better now. I will let the water sit over night before putting Gillbert back in to make sure everything is the same temperature and there is as little system shock on Gillbert as possible.
