The basil has been murdered! My wife is going to give all the basil we harvested to a few of her co-workers tomorrow. I was overdue for a harvest and I just don't use enough basil to justify two full plants. But if we have people who want the fresh basil, I have no problem giving some away. Besides, it will all be grown back in a few weeks!
I never realized how much my tomato plant was using the basil for support until I harvested. I'm a bit concerned about the plant flopping over and I knocked a tomato off when I was trying to adjust the plant. I hope it has enough support now, would be a shame to have something happen to my tomato plant.
