Las llamas devoraban

con voraz apetito, la

madera seca del Olvido
El solitario, veía consumirse

las compañías indeseables
El tonto, los adornos de su

falso genio
El proscrito, la fantasía de

una tierra de iguales
El prepotente, las ansias de

ser el único hombre sin

obedecer a un amo
El sabio, una patria libre

de ignorancia
Cada uno desterró en las

fauces del fuego, aquello

que el hombre debe conquistar

por propio mérito, una virtud o un

defecto.

The flames were devouring

with voracious appetite, the

dry wood of Oblivion
The loner, he watched himself burn up

the undesirable companies
The fool, the ornaments of his

false genius
The outlaw, the fantasy of

a land of equals
The overbearing, the craving for

be the only man without

obey a master
The wise, a free country

of ignorance
Each one banished in the

jaws of the fire, that

that man must conquer

by own merit, a virtue or a

defect.
