You want to make your grandfather proud but you're not sure how make the most of your first few season. Let's take a look at a few checklists for completing the bundles in a timely fashion. For the complete bundle list and requirements, check out the wiki.
Introduction
Trees
Tap early and tap often: Pine, Maple, and Oak tree taps are profitable and the extracts are important for crafting
Fruit trees take a whole season (28 days) to mature and they are expensive so I've put tree fruits in the Year 2 lists
Fishing
I put some of the fish on the year two lists as well because they require higher skill levels to catch. Always be fishing but know you're not likely to check certain fish off the list until year two.
Crab Pots
The easiest way to complete the crab pot bundle is to collect the shellfish off the beach and get the crab from rock crabs in the mines. Upon completing the crab pot bundle, you get 3 free crab pots.
Spring of Year 1
Congrats on your farm. It's covered in branches, wild grass, and rubble. Only clear enough to plant that initial set of seeds. You can easily get carried away trying to clear the whole farm. When you start out, you just don't have that much energy each day and getting extra is a challenge at first.

This is a rework of a post from "Winewood Farms," my old Stardew Valley blog. I hope to bring the rest of the posts over, too. Stay tuned!
