Just in case you were wondering where I went...
Okay, so I was going to say that I've been sick as a dog, but then I realized, I don't know any sick dogs. I don't know what that saying means.
So I guess what I mean is that I've been horribly sick for the last week and a half. Longer, really, because I kept getting a little bit sick with one thing or another (everything is flying around here between my daughter in school, the various people who work different places and live here AND grandkids!) I seemed to catch a little of everything, and then ALMOST get better before the next thing hit.
Then came this last week or two. I blazed through the Freewrite Favorites post, on the edge of what I assumed was another day or two of feeling under the weather.
Instead, the flu/cold/whatever knocked me completely on my ass. I barely left my bed or my room for pretty much a week. I couldn't even stand light at all, so I pretty much laid in the dark listening to stand up comedy or things that I could sort of keep my mind on. I normally take the time to read when I'm sick, but even the light to read a paperback hurt my eyes too much.
It has been miserable and frustrating. I still can't seem to do more than MAYBE cook a meal or sweep the floor before I'm completely wiped out, out of breath and sweaty again.
Anyway, I know I've been sporadic here anyway, but I HAD intended to start doing freewrites again at LEAST, but that has been put on hold until I can manage to be awake for more than 6 hours a day! I am giving myself a challenge to write a freewrite every day in April. I hope to get back up to at least practice a bit between now and then!
In other news, the Ganja Guru Pharms business is doing REALLY well. They have been harvesting/trimming and such for the past week and getting ready for our first SALES (aka the first income!) so that's pretty exciting.
