The @ecotrain is a community founded by @eco-alex that attracts and onboard passengers who are:

doing good for the environment and humanity
promoting sustainable and responsible living
taking action to leave the world a better place than we found it

In here, I have found some of the most insightful stories from all over the world.

From L-R, Buzz, Karin, Aaron, Joanne, Eliza

One evening, I was sharing some of these stories over supper with fellow Steemians @karinzdailygrind, @aaronleang, @joannewong, @elizacheng and they told me they had not heard of @ecotrain before and that I should write about it.

Inspired by them, I have decided to write a weekly series to share my favourite stories that I have come across from the @ecotrain passengers each week.

All aboard!

Philantropy Can't Stop Wars

by @thegreens

In this piece, Mr. Green shares with us the subtle difference when can philantropy bring meaningful change... and why sometimes it cannot. There a few more golden nuggets within this piece that I like. It is worth a read.

My Earth is in Danger to Live

by @mustafa1989

From Indonesia, Mustafa writes in dual language; his native Indonesian and English, a day of reflection as the world celebrates another day on Earth on April 22.

Building a Fully Automated, Self Sustainable, Solar, Hydroponic, Micro Urban Farm

by @carpedimus

Last but not least, Isreali @carpedimus takes us behind the scenes a project he is currently working on. In this one, he has completed the exterior of his micro urban farm and is now working on the interior. For any enthusiast who is looking to build a self-sustaining home of your own, you might find many little gems borrowing from @carpedimus's experience.

From what I know, anyone who believes in making the world a better place is welcome to come aboard as passengers onto the @ecotrain. A great place to start is to join the Discord channel here.

For me, I believe climate change is is solvable. I invite everyone to focus on the solvable part of the equation. I believe we have it within our power to decide how much of it actually gets solved.

Let’s be ambitious. Let’s lead.

Buzz

Hi, my name is Jason aka @buzz.lightyear. I envision a future where renewable energy is our main source of electricity in this lifetime; reducing the largest contributor of carbon emissions by 90% and bringing our global temperatures back to its natural balance.

I believe that this is no easy task but it is achievable with your support.

I am developing an open blockchain that incentivises both producers and consumers of renewable energy and am looking to collaborate with brilliant minds who share this vision so that we can create a future where it just makes sense to go 100% renewable, visit your local store, buy some latest tech and generate energy for your own use and for others.
