The @buynburn project uses its HBD rewards to buy and then burn coins on #hive-engine.
To earn for the burn, the project will drop periodic posts about different tribes on HIVE Engine.
Each Monday, the project will produce a burn report with the totals burned. I also track the burn on my personal site.
My hope is that the project will build interest in Hive-Engine.
This is the total burned to date. If you look at my HE wallet you will see that I am building up stacks of coins to burn.
| Token | Burned | HIVE Value | USD Value |
|---|---|---|---|
| CENT | 511 | 1.8 | $0.785 |
| TIX | 1,478 | 0.00 | 0.00 |
| FOODIE | 752 | 0.0943 | $0.042 |
| Total | 2,741 | 1.894 | $0.827 |
I will burn everything I earn on the account. I hope the project becomes interesting with time.
For this post I decided to burn some FOODIE. FOODIE is the token produced by the Foodies Beehive which has the domain foodies unite.
Personally, I think that FOODIE is one of the most under appreciated tribes as everyone needs to eat and people love to share recipes. The coin supply for FOODIE is 28,980,806. Users have burned 1,548,348 of the coins.
If I had unlimited time, I would go through the FOODIE's archive and build a recipe book with the best food on HIVE.
The richlist shows the FOODIE token is fairly well distributed. Sadly, a large number of users have failed to stake their earnings.
Personally, I think all users on HIVE should periodically visit their HIVE Account. One should place sell orders for the coins they aren't accumulating and stake the rest!
I like to place orders midway between BID and ASK as it seems to stimulate activity on the blockchain.
If you don't have time to visit Hive-Engine, the Stake My Tokens by HIVE.PIZZA lets users stake all of their tokens with a single click.
Surprisingly, there appear to be few buyers of the FOODIE token. I guess most foodies want to spend their earnings on ingredients and are not that interested in saving coins for the future.
This morning I decided to buy some credits for the DALL-E project on OpenAI. I asked the program to produce an image of a chef looking at a roast burning in an oven and received the picture pictured at the top of this form.
I thought a nightmare about burning food might be a good image for a post about burning FOODIE.
I will list all of the AI images I produce on my personal site.
This is only the second week of the buy and burn program. I hope that it will get more interesting as the account grows.
I will use all of the HBD and most of the HP rewards from this account to buy and burn coins on HIVE Engine.
