Big thanks to the hive-naija crew for this wonderful initiatives, you won't believe i have been staring at my pc for the past an hour thinking of what to write, when nothing was coming forth, i decided to go through my feeds and read other people's post and luckily i stumbled on your post about Abuse, i finally found what to write about!
I always advise people to avoid toxic people and never to bear the toxicity in a relationship, the signs are always there from the beginning but due to some selfish desire some will chose to turn a blind eyes to their partner's flaw which could harm them.... I read something on a page where the lady was telling her friend that her boyfriend just finished beating her but he apologized, you can imagine? and what was her reason for still staying with such a man? she could not bear to lose the materialistic things he bought for her and also breaking up with him would make her lose the money he do give her..
It is really crazy but some people don't just care and they are willing to bear it till they lose their life as long as they are getting what they want and this is going to keep happening if the girls choose to be dependent on someone else to feed or live a better life, what a man can do a woman can do it better, so why depend on a man to survive? why can't you also work your ass off and make it in life and let no man who wasn't present when you were born to lash out at you or even beat you...
The blame is not just on the ladies, some guys start behaving like they owns the earth once they make a little change, this is not right, you are rich and taking care of your woman doesn't give you the right to treat her unjustly, there is something called respect, even though a lady need to respect her man more but the man must always learn to reciprocate this by knowing his limit... There are many ways to put your woman on track without using yor fist, You can ignore her and a woman who loves you will know and apologize, i actually do this alot with mine and it works perfectly, you don't need to start shouting at each other to pass a message..*
The moment you lay your hands on your woman, you have stop being a man, real men don't beat their woman no matter how bad she provoke...
Well this is africa and i would never suggest the ways of the europeans in which women have more powers to be used here because they will misuse it, and it will render our men as slaves, they will be the one to work and it will be the ladies to enjoy all their work, amidst that they won't give them the respect they deserve knowing the law is protecting them, infact it is a nightmare that i want to wake up from, that must not happen in my country..
The best solution is for people to go into a relationship with who they love and not who they like because of money or other benefits...
