Hello splinter nerds

It is now hard to get a position on the leaderboard, I was hoping I would get something in the wild leaderboard but towards the end of the season, I was pushed down away from the top 50, and when I played to claim back the top 50 position, I had a losing streak which further pushed me away from the leaderboard.

I gave up on the modern but seeing the turn of events, I decided to try my luck in modern and it amused me that I was winning well till I claimed the top 25, I was surprised with the last battle as I didn't expect what the opponent used.

It was a three-rule set battle

  • Wands out: This rule means only the magic monsters can be used in battle.

  • Born again: All monsters have the rebirth ability so whenever they are eliminated in battle, they are born again.

  • Up to eleven: A deadly rule that does double damage to monsters affected, it gives all monsters an amplified ability.

I chose to use the death splinter using Owster Rotwell to summon the magic monster since it had the magic reflect stats and with the amplify rule set, the enemy will definitely have a tough time even if he was going to win.

The opponent used LLama mage to summon Kron the undying and I will admit when I saw the lineup, I thought he was going to win but was surprised as my monsters proved me wrong.

My Formation

Life Sapper

The life sapper was the monster placed at the front because of its redemption ability, there is a rebirth ruleset so I believed that ability was going to help reduce the opponent's life but I never expected him to use Kron.

Doctor Blight

The Bright really helped in winning this battle, his poison worked effectively and even though the Kron had a chance to attack, it still wasn't enough as the three monsters I used attacked him aggressively.

Ancient lich

Last but not least is the ancient lich, he played a vital role in winning the battle with his high magic power and resurrect ability, he was also building up his health with his leech ability but I don't think he would be able to win if he faced the kron alone even with the leech.

It was the battle that gave me 40,000 dec in the leaderboard!
