The world is evolving, we have new tech making life easier and more beautiful and one of the techs that many people find easier to use are those that come with our phones, apps, and so on.
Gone are the days when it is what you snap that you will get, you can snap anything now and beautify it to the extent that people will fall in love with it, and even you yourself will be wowed at your creativity..
I do not see anything bad in using filters to make yourself look good or better than you are but what is bad is when you do it in excess.
These things can be addictive, you edit one picture, cut your head and put another, edit away all your pimples, change your color from dark to yellow, place an edited wig on your fake head, and post it, the moment people started commenting, wow you are so beautiful, gorgeous and all other flattering comments, you will never want to post your real self anymore and that is the beginning of fake life.
Here is a picture of me and my niece, the first picture is the real product of the phone used in snapping the picture while the second one is an edited pix.
The difference between these two pictures is that one is brighter than the other and I actually prefer the second one which is the edited version but the edit is minimal and it won't bring any criticism if someone later comes across the real photo because I am not a dark guy xd.
So just because you don't want people to criticize you does not mean you should snap rubbish and post the rubbish like that😂
It is okay to edit and look good! just don't give yourself credit that does not belong to you, editing images and adding curvy hips, making your bosom fuller, and also enlarging your buttock with filters is what I think is not right because you are deceiving people especially those interested in you and that can be termed emotional damage which should be entered in the book of law with punishment jk.😁
I have not really been deceived by anyone online though, you can only be disappointed when you expect something from others but in certain times, i have been surprised to see that pictures can be deceiving.
I have written about my 2go friend who introduced me to the hive platform, I have always believed she is dark in complexion and that was my thought for 9 years until I saw her for real.
This girl is so fair and that surprised me that I could not even keep it to myself, I had to ask her what happen because I thought she is dark🤣, she was like dark bawo, don't you see my pictures, I got confused maybe I am having color blindness🤣
The same goes for another friend of mine I met recently, she looks dark in pictures but when I saw her too, she was fair in complexion and I think their case is good, they looked more beautiful in real life than in pictures😁
One of the times that I felt someone was deceiving others was a friend of my neighbor that visited her, this girl had pimples all over her face and some dark spot which kind of ruined her beauty, we got talking and she wanted to show us something in her gallery and I saw the pictures she snapped and edited. I had to look twice to be sure she was the one because it was totally different from her real self and I think she is getting more toasters with that picture online than she would get in the offline world.
