Už je to delší dobu, co jsem "vyhrožoval" dokončením seriálu o pivu ze Stráže nad Nežárkou. Budu to muset ještě odložit. Zatím se mi totiž nepodařilo sehnat hlavního hrdinu posledního dílu seriálu.
Mám tu alespoň „náhradu“ z pivovaru v Kamenici nad Lipou.

It has been a long time since I "threatened" to finish the series about beer from Stráž nad Nežárkou. I'll have to put it off. So far I haven't been able to find the protagonist of the last part of the series.
At least I have a "replacement" from the brewery in Kamenice nad Lipou.
Kamenická 12 mi ležela v ledničce skoro dva týdny, než jsem se k ní dostal. Ne že bych na ni zapomněl, ale jsem pořád v „pohotovosti“ zasednout za volant.
Kamenická 12 was in my fridge for almost two weeks before I got to it. Not that I've forgotten about her, but I'm still "ready" to get behind the wheel.
V pátek večer jsem však byl sám doma a tak nebránilo nic tomu, sáhnout do lednice a konečně ochutnat, co jsem to vlastně v Kamenici, kousek od zámku, koupil.
12-ti stupňový, světlý ležák, nepasterovaný, 5,2 objemových % alkoholu. Jediné, co mně trochu zmátlo, byla informace na etiketě, že byl použit upravený chmel. Že by extrakt? Netuším. Stejně bych to chuťově nepoznal.
However, I was home alone on Friday evening, so nothing prevented me from reaching into the fridge and finally tasting what I actually bought in Kamenice, not far from the castle.
12-degree light lager, unpasteurized, 5.2% alcohol by volume. The only thing that confused me a little was the information on the label that modified hops were used. Would the extract? I have no clue. I wouldn't recognize the taste anyway.
Bohatá pěna, barva zralého obilí (nenechte se zmást fotografií). Dlouho jsem přemýšlel nad vůní. Cítil jsem v tom nějaké dřevo. Pak mi došlo, že podobnou „vůni“ mám spojenou s ořezáváním tužek. Takže asi vrba? Ostatně, vrba se mi tam „vkradla“ i chuťově. Do příjemně hořké dochuti se mi vloudila mírná trpkost, které mi připomněla chuť odvaru z vrbové kůry (dobré na snížení horečky a mírnou bolest hlavy). Celkový dojem však kazila nedefinovatelná pachuť nějaké chemie, která mi zůstala na jazyku.
Rich foam, the color of ripe grain (don't be fooled by the photo). I thought about the scent for a long time. I could smell some wood in it. Then I realized that I have a similar "smell" associated with sharpening pencils. So maybe a willow tree? After all, the willow "sneaked in" for me in terms of taste as well. A slight bitterness crept into the pleasantly bitter aftertaste, which reminded me of the taste of willow bark decoction (good for reducing fever and mild headache). However, the overall impression was marred by an indefinable aftertaste of some chemistry that remained on my tongue.
Tomu, kdo zatím pil jen komerčně vyráběná výčepní piva, bude toto pivo asi stačit. Já se poohlédnu po něčem lepším :-)
For those who have only drank commercially produced tap beers, this beer will probably be enough. I'll look for something better :-)
