And they couldn't be more true in the capitalist world we live in, dominated by the capital market. On one hand, the wealthy possess various mechanisms that ensure their capital continues to grow above inflation levels, perpetuating the accumulation of more capital by the economically privileged classes and maintaining their power. The first privilege is that their investments yield monthly returns above inflation, providing real returns of a few percent. The other is directly related to this: the use of interest to their advantage. Each passing month, the return is added to the capital amount, allowing them to earn even more the following month. For the less fortunate, however, interest ends up working entirely against them. The reason for this begins with salaries; since they are not adjusted monthly, families end up paying more for basic necessities, and because the money is not adjusted, there is often not enough to pay the monthly bills, forcing them to take out loans at very high interest rates. It takes a great deal of effort for workers to achieve a better condition because they are fighting against interest rates. On one side, a positive cycle, and on the other, a negative cycle. What is the relationship with governments? While workers spend most of their time working to guarantee their livelihood, the rich seek ways to protect their assets and, to do so, seek government support through corruption, lobbying, and money. And since the rest of the population doesn't have time to follow and exert pressure, the laws and changes that should protect and benefit the general population end up tending to favor one side. One solution would be to simplify, so that more people can follow and understand, without technical terms that end up being another barrier. ---

A superioridade financeira de um lado acaba fazendo com que o governo trabalhe para um lado mais do que para o outro. E elas não poderiam ser mais verdades no mundo capitalista em que vivemos, dominado pelo mercado de capitais. De um lado, os ricos possuem diversos mecanismos que garantem que o seu capital continue crescendo acima dos niveis de inflação, perpetuando as classes economicamente favorecidas à acumular mais capital e se mamter no poder. O primeiro dos privilégios é que os investimentos feitos por eles rentabilizam mensalmente acima da inflação, dando retornos reais de alguns porcento. O outro tem uma relação direta com isso, que é a utilização do juros à seu favor. A cada mês que passa o retorno se junta ao montante do capital fazendo com que no próximo mês eles ganhem ainda mais. Já para as pessoas menos favorecidas o juros acaba ficando totalmente contra elas. O motivo disso começa com os salários, como não são reajustado mensalmente, as famílias chegam ao ponto de pagar mais caro pelas necessidades básicas e como o dinheiro não é reajustado, acaba faltando para pagar as contas do mês, fazendo com que eles tenham que pegar empréstimos à juros altíssimos. É necessário um esforço muito grande para que os trabalhadores consigam chegar em uma condição melhor porque eles lutam contra o juros. De um lado um ciclo positivo e do outro um ciclo negativo, qual a relação com os governos? Enquanto os trabalhadores gastam a maior parte do tempo trabalhando para garantir o sustento, os ricos procuram formas de blindar o seu patrimônio e para isso buscam o apoio do governo através de corrupção, lobby e dinheiro. E como o restante da população não tem tempo para acompanhar e fazer pressão, as leis e mudança que devia proteger e beneficiar a população geral, acaba tendendo para um único lado. Uma solução seria simplificar, para que mais pessoas possam acompanhar e entender, sem termos técnicos que acabam sendo uma outra barreira. ---
