I posted these Hyacinths fourteen days ago in their original black and white version.
This was captured with a lens that renders some of the most amazing colors I ever seen, so I decided to re-edit the original shot and tried to make it some justice.
The glass is literally radioactive. It has Thorium as one of its components.
This type of lenses are not allowed to be produced anymore, not because the potential dangers for the photographers using it, but because the risks for those producing it.
Owning one of these babies it's like owning a tinny little piece of History.
Besides that, my third thumb proved to be very handy anyway. Zero regrets.
