Introduction

Kia ora/Hello
Steemit recommends that you write an intro first so this is my effort.
I'm from New Zealand (NZ), I'm not famous internationally, or even in NZ for that matter, but I feel very fortunate that I live in a country that is still relatively young, is far removed from all the trouble spots of the world, has a decent democracy with a stable government system, a good standard of living, and a country open to the views of others.
I am bicultural and bilingual, being a descendent of my father's English roots and my mother's indigenous people of NZ, the Māori.
Our country's not perfect, we have our issues, including reconciling ourselves with our colonial past and the injustices this has created.
However, we still manage to live and get along without too many dramas.
Personally I have a love for knowledge and so I have a wide range of interests - sports, politics, cultures, travel, business, education, and ... well you get the picture - there's soooo much stuff out there that I want to comment on.
For example I have an over the top interest in Donald Trump's America that could be considered borderline unhealthy. But I can't help myself, I am just so fascinated how a guy who can tell so many blatant porkies, be so abrasive to almost anybody, who can cause so much division between so many people, and can still be president of the USA.
I'm from a small country that has just formed a new government from the left after 9 years of a party that has applied a business template to all facets of NZ life - basically a sink or swim scenario because you're on your own type governance, with the added shoulder shrug, what can we do about it, response to inequality, poor health and education, and the increasingly wider gap between the haves and have nots.
You may have guessed that I harbour liberal views, I believe in being PC most of the time, and I believe in questioning and challenging injustices. I also believe in responsible business.
So i will be venting, raging and singing the praises of many a topic in my posts.
And by the way, I do have a sense of humour so I hope that firstly, you like a bit of a laugh mixed in with the more serious earthly matters, and secondly that you get my humour, and that you find my posts entertaining.
Anyway that's me, I'll be posting about a wide range of topics, and getting a shite load off my chest. I'm also looking forward to mixing and mingling with other posters and their posts to further my writing skills, and hopefully hone my skills in the art of a post.
