Spontaniczny wyjazd do Paryża.

[ENG] A spontaneous trip to Paris. Much depended on the weather forecast, it was favourable, so we got together in the morning and set off. It had been a long time since we'd been there, and we'd managed to miss it. And when, on the Paris ring road, I saw herds of scooters and a few cars with their side mirrors folded up, I knew we were close to our destination.

[ENG] So far, when visiting the French capital, our itinerary has usually focused on the right side of the Seine, but this time, for a change, I wanted to visit the districts south of the river. To start with, the Luxembourg Garden is a nice place, but not necessarily in winter, I think it looks much better in spring and summer.

[ENG] There will be an opportunity to check it out, as we plan to return in April or May. Better prepared this time, and all because of another place I wanted to see yesterday - the Paris catacombs. We arrived at the site and found that the tickets were already sold out.

[ENG] Walking towards the Champs de Mars, we passed through the Montparnasse Cemetery, one of the largest necropolises in the city centre. Many interesting tombstones, Jean-Paul Sartre, Symon Petliura or André Citroën, among others, rest there. And beyond the cemetery wall, you can already see signs of the coming spring.

[ENG] Walking past the Necker Hospital, I spotted an interesting form of a mural on one of the older hospital buildings. The plaster had been partially scraped off the facade of the building in such a way that a portrait of a woman had emerged. A little deeper in the hospital courtyard was another drawing of this type.

[ENG] On the Champs de Mars, the Eiffel Tower can be seen in the distance, and it got crowded under the tower itself, so we quickly went on. Just a glimpse of the Hôtel des Invalides from afar, as we were already hungry. We searched for a good crêperie until we ended up at "La Crêperie du Clown", delicious crêpes and service that spoke Polish, what more could you want :)

[ENG] At the end of our stay in Paris, we left ourselves a walk along the Seine, Ile de la Cite with Notre Dame Cathedral. Restoration work after a fire four years ago is still ongoing, so you can only admire the cathedral from the outside. I'd like to go inside again one day, I've had the opportunity to visit it a few times, it's a very beautiful building.
