The Mooon Café is a mexican restaurant situated in Cebu. It is one of the favorite Mexican themed cafes of Cebuanos that look for delightful dishes that are also very affordable. Currently,it has 7 outlets in Cebu:
• IT Park,Lahug (11 AM-1 AM)
• Ayala Center Cebu, Cebu Business Park (11 AM-11 PM)
• Robinsons Cybergate (10 AM-9 PM)
• SM City Cebu (10 AM-9PM)
• Parkmall,Tipolo (11 AM-10 PM)
• Shopwise Cebu (8 AM-10PM)
• Gaisano Grand Mall (9 AM-9PM)

The Place : As you enter the restaurant, it just gives you the Mexican vibe. Intricate jars decorated the place and the tables and chairs are very colorful. The place has lots of visitors hence, you really need to be early during holiday seasons. I visited their SM City Cebu branch and observed that during lunch, a lot of foreigners were also present who were excited to try the delicious dishes. For those who are still waiting, there are comfortable chairs outside the restaurant for the waiting area.

The Food: The menu offers a wide variety of mouth watering dishes. Aside from Mexican food, they also offer familiar dishes that are Filipino favorites just like Pork Belly, Fried Chicken, Pochero, and many more. The prices are also justified since some of the foods can also be shared for groups of people. The pork belly looks appetizing so I ordered it. I also tried their Pumpkin soup and fried chicken. Good news: they have unli-rice!

The 11-piece fried chicken

I was kind of disappointed with the pumpkin soup because the cream on top was slightly very thin resulting for the mixture to be really watery. However, it tastes good and for only 80 pesos, it’s not bad at all. I loved their 11 pieces fried chicken! It’s very crispy and juicy. Also, you can share this food with your friends and family members. The pork belly was not hard to eat, it was also very flavorful. A little side note: some parts of the pork belly look kind of burnt, so I was a little disappointed by that.
I enjoyed the unli rice a lot since I am a huge rice eater. For drinks, I ordered the fresh mango shake which was nice, not too sweet and not too bland. Just enough.

The Service: After about 10 minutes waiting, the food was served. I was not disappointed by how the waiters deliver it because they were pretty fast and their clothes are very presentable. They are also very friendly and make sure they have smiles on their faces. They are always ready whenever you have questions and when you need anything from them.

Overall, I enjoyed my lunch at the Mooon Café. Will I come back? Definitely. The food was good, service too, and the place was clean and magnificent. However, I would like to recommend some things: the soup and pork belly can be improved and the chairs in the waiting area should be increased. But overall, I loved it. Thumbs up Mooon Café!
