It’s always a good idea to have gifts for the whole family during the holidays. One, these build a lot of memories which you’ll want as you mature. Two, you can provide options for everybody at once. Three, should someone be “missed”, or get a gift they don’t like, at least they’ve got the group option to look forward to.

1. A Festive Bouquet for Everybody, and to Set the Mood
You’ve got four, potentially six, major holidays ahead of you: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Christmas, and New Year’s. A gift may be appropriate for each occasion, but that can be costly. What you might do is change up the holiday bouquet with each new celebration. 2. Booking a Vacation Somewhere Unique or Special
Taking a vacation on a cruise liner is a gift for the whole family, and it’s a lot of fun. Beyond an expensive group trip like that, you might travel with your family to a special place where you always have fun. Alternatively, you might book a trip somewhere none of you have ever been before for the novelty of it. Whatever works best, go that route.
3. Renting a Boat or Some ATVs
If you’re in a temperate region this holiday season, you might all rent a pontoon boat and spend a day on the lake. If you’re in a more northerly latitude, this might not be exactly feasible. However, four-wheelers (All-Terrain Vehicles), snowmobiles, and side-by-sides can be a lot of fun to cruise around with for a weekend.
Especially for families with adult children, this is a group gift everybody can get behind. Maybe you all meet at a resort in the mountains, rent some snowmobiles, and zoom through the snow dunes making memories.
4. A Favorite Family Treat
Most families have some sort of food that everybody loves. There’s probably also a dish nobody loves, and it can be a joke gift. However, don’t think that way to start. Think about things the whole group is going to enjoy.
Maybe you get a $100 slab of smoked salmon as snacking finger food for Christmas. This sort of thing stretches back many years. Have you ever heard of a “Christmas goose”? It’s the same concept: it’s a special “treat” at a special time for the whole family.

Whatever you ultimately decide to do, you want to spend time together. Maybe get a favorite family treat everyone can dabble in. Perhaps rent some snowmobiles or ATVs, or spend a day out on a pontoon boat in a temperate area.
