I recently read an article by stackin@stackin on how to build influence on steem - I will attach the link at the bottom - it's a great read - he is making the point that growing your knowledge is key to being able to contribute desirable content to more people on the platform. He also talks about the need to write about things your are smart on.

I may not be real smart on marriage, however, I love relationships. All sorts of them. They are these brilliant connections that have capacity to bring incredible pain and incredible satisfaction. Nobody can live with out them, and everyone is navigating their own pain caused by them. One of my greatest desires is to help people be awesome in life and being awesome in relationships is foundation to that.

I have been writing about the parent to child relationship using the tag powerfulkids - your welcome to check those out - Today I want to introduce a new series of articles I will be writing about marriage - using the tag #powerfulmarriage

Building A Powerful Marriage

What makes a marriage powerful? Two powerful people. Powerful people come from the ability to have choice, and choice is dangerous.

The ability to allow your spouse to have choice is dangerous because you are not controlling them. When someone is trying to control me or tell me I have to do something, 9 times out of 10 I'm saying forget you. Control is a tool we use to manipulate situations to cause minimal pain, unfortunately it also prevents the capacity to receive love - because love implies you choose to do something or act a certain way for the sake of another.

Marriage is even given a bad rap in our society because its implied restriction of freedom. Here are a few things a simple google search on 'marriage brought up'

While most of us would not come out and say that - theres an underlying implication in our culture that marriage is constrictive. Which in many ways is true. I can't go play golf everyday. My wife can't garden all weekend every weekend. Our selfishness has been interrupted (not all selfishness is bad). What we can do however is choose to put each other's dreams and desires in front of our own. This may seem counter-intuitive, but our dreams and desires actually are multiplied in their power because we have each others force/support behind them. Hence why i feel empowered in my marriage and not constricted.

Anywho, I will be putting out different aspects of powerful marriage out in the coming period of time. Would love to invite you to follow along as well as use the tag #powerfumarriage if you have experiences or things you have used to help build your marriage into a powerful one!
