To me life is a marathon and not a sprint. I think the same is true with investing. We cannot expect to get a good return in 6 months if we are a buy and hold type investor. I am in it for the long term over a year is the least I will hold something now. The benefits to this are you get long term capital gains and you also get less trading fee's. Those fee's can really add up over time. Anyway That is my take on life and many other things. Marathon and not a sprint.
