The battery was an old dusty double A that lad been laying in the stairwell of the building since I moved in. It was 2 flights down from the 8 flights of steps that had to be climbed getting up to my apartment. During his first couple treks up the stairs, I told him to just look for the battery and then you know you're almost there!
One day I came home to find the battery gone, but a new battery to greet me.
He had drawn it on the wall to replace a dirty battery on the floor that I had been using for inspiration.
Mexico is the 5th country we visited together & to be with family made it extra special!
