Steemit, not your regular run of the mill platform....
I am new to this granted, I knew about it way before I signed up. My husband loves this place, not sure many people love his input but it is always truth. When he is wrong, I've only seen that once btw from him before, he apologizes and corrects it. He is by far the most intelligent person I've come across, so I was leery in signing up, thinking I wouldn't make the cut. I don't believe me to be half as smart as he is but he values me so maybe others would like my input. I go to read posts everyday, I am wrapped up with the knowledge that flows so abundantly here and I am intimidated.
Here you can't just dial it in, the community will hold you accountable for every word you type, every discussion you engage in. Much like my husband does to me in my everyday life. This is a great place to expand your talents and be held accountable for the words you put out. I love it, because honestly I can't just "dial it in" with the best of them, without being held accountable. This place drives me to want to make quality posts and my learning curve is skewed because "I want to figure it out on my own"
I don't want to piggy back off of him, I want to earn my way. We don't follow each other and I stay out of his lane on here, hell yeah I'm proud of his content and comments but we are very different in our approach. He will go into details about subjects dear to him, siting countless sites, defining words, all in an effort to speak truth. And, here I am on an another platform being a beast with generalized thoughts, simply because no one thinks like me, so they can't began to question my logic. On here, most people think like me, so I am forced to dig deeper. So thank you to the community of Steemit for raising the bar.
