It seems the harware device used by many to store crypto safely off line has a fake reproduction problem.
As with all 'fakes' the issues of security come to mind, and with a device that is all about security, this may be an issue.

Hardware wallets are a great idea, as long as they are genuine I suppose.

Back to the same issue, in the crypto world you are your own bank.
The only security you have it that which you bring to the table.
But many will be duped by a low price copy.
I have no idea how well they work, or if they have issues re security.
But if they work as 100% compatible to the original, it does mean that someone knows the internal workings / coding for the security. Is this an issue? Does it mean the Trezor is now comped?

When will the next breakthrough in off line storage come?
Only after a major breach happens & a now poor crypto saver looses his/her bank?

Time will tell
