It's day two of my 365 day drawing challenge and I decided to sketch out a sword. I used a short sword tutorial from drawingforall.net that helped get me started and from there I turned it into my own by adding some scales to the handle and spikes to the pommel and handguard. I also added a few chips to the blade to give it some character. I feel like all of this sort of gives it a dragon slayer type of appearance. This was my first time ever drawing a sword and scales but it was fun and it is definitely something I want to revisit in the future during my 365 day challenge.
