Last night worked wasn't that bad. Sure, we had mandatory overtime at first, but it was cancelled, and yet, I still had to put in about 90 minutes of OT. That's not bad, really. All the OT I've had to get in the past few weeks as resulted in about $200 and about $55 more in the 401k extra in the pocket that wouldn't be there otherwise. Plus, my supervisor brought in some nice king cake, so that's a plus.
No, there was no real problems at work last night.
That came later.
First, it was dark and raining, not to mention cold. An inconvenience for sure, but that not the worst thing that could happen. At least I'm not standing or working in the rain.
It's too bad though the rain drives the idiots onto the road, because they were out in full force. I saw two almost-collisions within seconds.
Then I get to Kroger's to make a purchase.
The cashier doesn't know how to do it. She's not been trained to handle this particular sale.
Her supervisor can't do it either.
Come back when the front desk is open.
Idiots.
I was so angry I literally had chest pains.
Once I'm home later, I've calmed down and gotten the kids to school. I settle into bed.
I have a thought.
Dealing with incompetence and idiocy is a bad way to end the day. But it's morning, so the day is beginning.
Am I coming, or going?
