If you have been kicking around Leo much the past two days, you are probably going to view this picture of a waterfall two ways. It will either represent the deluge of money you have been making on the new Cub Finance platform, or it is going to represent the insane number of posts you have been seeing about it.
Perhaps both...
In case the title of this post wasn't clear enough, this is absolutely going to be one of those aforementioned posts!
We were finally blessed with the CUB token claim drop yesterday somewhere between 3 and 5 PM EST. My hats off to the team at Leo Finance. They really took the time to put out something that is really great. With everyone chomping at the bit asking "Wen", it could have been very easy for them to put out a product that was only 95%.
Instead, they asked us to be patient and came up with a plan that was beneficial to all involved.
It looks like the final ratio of the claim drop was somewhere in the range of 225 to 1. So that means for every 225 Leo you had staked you would get 1 CUB token. I've gotta be honest, when I logged into Hive Engine and saw that I only had a little over 9 tokens I was a bit shocked. Then again, none of us really knew what to expect.
We knew the token distribution amount was going to be low. There were lots of guesses about what the ratio would be. I am guessing a lot of people probably thought they were maybe going to get more.
While less than I had hoped, I am more than content with my 9 CUB. I don't plan on selling in. In fact, I meticulously moved it over to my CUB Finance interface and immediately staked it in the den. This is actually where the only hiccup happened in the whole process and it really wasn't anyone's fault. The site to convert your CUB Claim Tokens to actual CUB tokens on the BSC was getting hammered. I had to keep hitting refresh until I was able to finally access it. Literally a minor inconvenience.
Oh, I'd be remiss if I didn't give a shout out to @tarazkp at this point. He reminded me via one of his posts that it might be a good idea to remove the CUB I had in the CUB/BNB liquidity pool in case the price of CUB tanked once the claim drop happened.
Thankfully, we haven't seen the price drop too much. I mean sure, it is about $10 off from the ATH we saw on the first day, but with Leo and Hive both still sub $1, having CUB sitting at $3.60+ is nothing to feel too badly about.
Likely we will see the price rise a bit over the next week or so.
I really like that they allowed people who aren't interested in CUB Finance to sell their claim tokens on Hive Engine. I've got some mates on here who don't really care about DeFi. Giving them this opportunity to dump them for something they do care about (Hive) is great.
I also think it presented a great opportunity for those who had the means to snag some more CUBs to fatten their stake.
Overall, I think this went really well. Again, a great big kudos to the @leofinance team.
