Vacations have a crazy way of reminding us that even if we choose to take a break, the world keeps spinning around. That was definitely the case after this past week that I spent in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
I returned home in the late afternoon yesterday and was shocked to see that the ruling had finally been announced and Ripple is indeed not a security. Will this be the catalyst that truly ushers in the next bull run?
It definitely feels like it could be another nail in the coffin for the SEC. Then again, who really knows what is going to happen. We are dealing with shadows in a game that has no clear margins and many of the players have near endless resources to play it.
I'm actually making a it a personal goal to read as much as I can about the XRP ruling in the next 24 hours.
It is time again for another Finance Friday/Friday Finance. This is a series I started where I talk about random bits of financial stuff that I have seen, gathered, or experienced during the week. I hope as a reader you find it informational, entertaining, or both. I also hope it can generate some good discussion and edify the Leo community.

Before I get to that though, I wanted to share this interesting post I saw on Facebook recently.
I wanted to include this because I know that many of the members of the silver/gold stackers group are probably already familiar with them. This was actually posted by that KZoo Bullion company that I have written about a couple of times already. I know on some level they are just trying to drum up more business, but I really appreciate them trying to do some consumer awareness here.
If not tomorrow, at least within the next couple of days, I should finally hit the vesting shares to put me officially in the Orca tier on Hive. I don't know as though people really pay attention to those titles anymore, but I've been gunning for this for quite a while now.
I am pretty excited that I should finally be at that mark. There has been some difference of opinion about what really constitutes and Orca. I choose the harder one so that way when I finally hit that criteria I know for sure I have really made it!
Finally, let's take a little trip to the record store! Yooptone Music is located in a strip mall up in Marquette, MI. It is actually a lot more than just a record store as you can see from the opening photo. They have all manner of instruments and musical equipment here.
Before we even got into the store, they had a little display out on the sidewalk. I remember well the "sidewalk sales" that stores used to have when I was a little kid. They don't do that quite so much anymore, so I was already getting a hint of nostalgia from this place.
Anyone getting a urge to do their best Jethro Tull or Lizzo impression? That flute in the foreground made me smile. If I actually knew how to play the guitar, I probably could have spent all day at this place. As it was, I think we took a good hour browsing through the vinyl ablums.
Before I even entered the store I already had three albums that I was ready to buy all from the $10 and under bin.
I wouldn't say this was the biggest record store I have ever been to, not by a long shot, but they did have a really nice selection of albums. Their blues and jazz offerings were kind of sparse along with their rap and r&b stuff, but they had plenty of pop and rock to keep me and my friend busy.
They even had a decent selection of CD's and Cassette Tapes if you are still into that sort of thing. I have heard they are all making a comeback given the resurgence in vinyl.
As you can see, there was stuff strewn all about the place. There was a couple in the store while we were browsing and they were looking at guitar peddles. I never realized there were so many varieties that do so many different things.
It appears they also offer lessons at this place. There was a lady who showed up with her guitar at one point and went back into a little room with what I can only assume might have been the owner of the store.
He later came strutting out of the room playing a banjo. Perhaps they were just practicing for an upcoming set a la 
I actually have to apologize to
They even had a small section of the store that had amps and stereo equipment. Some of it even had tubes. If you squint really hard you can see the tubes sticking out of the top of the amp on the center shelf. I didn't go into that room, but I kind of wish I had now because I see the had some more albums on the floor after looking at the photo.
While not a "Guitar Town" or "Guitar Center", they still had a pretty decent selection of guitars and they also had a wide variety of accessories and strings to choose from. Like I said, if I actually knew how to play my acoustic guitar at home, I might have picked something up besides records.
I ended up spending about $60 USD which got me seven or eight albums. I will be sharing some of those with you in a future post, so keep an eye out for that.
On one final note, I was talking to our friends this weekend who we were camping with and while they didn't seem to interested in signing up for Hive, they were interested in my writing.
This is one of the first times I have had a friend actually ask to read my writing. I think I am going to ask them what they would like their "handles" to be so I can create Hive accounts for them. At the very least I will then be able to tag them in posts instead of just saying "my friend" or "my buddy" etc.
