What would you do if you had 12 hours in Seoul Korea?
Honestly I didn't have any interest to go to Korea as to my impression people only go to Korea for cosmetics and high end shopping purposes. Well I don't wear enough make up and I don't have enough money. So Korea was never in the top of my list of countries to visit.
However I thought I'd would give it a chance so I looked for the longest layover I could find and go out and see what the country has to offer. But I do have one spot I wanted to check out. The N Seoul Tower or the "Locks of Love" tower.
Our first 2 hours we spent at the airport. We changed into our fresh cloth and looking for baggage storage to store our carry on bags. Then at the wifi counter however we learnt that for layover passengers we are entitled to a free wifi router for a day! Sweet!!
Then we spent about an hour on the subway to get into Seoul. We were lost for a bit in the subway but there are always staffs hanging around to help out.
We got off the station we were supposed to then yes we were lost again. we walked around for about an hour looking for the tower. We had to stopped at this chic coffee house for breakfast as we were starving!
With full bellies we are ready for the walk ahead. Yes I said the walk. It's about and hour walk up to the tower but my god it was the nicest walk I've ever done. The scenery, the weather and the company were just perfect!

I love these " broken chairs" they have for couple to sit. They just instantly pull the couples toward each other.
Now we just have to look for spots for our "lock of love".
I wonder if we would ever find the lock if we went back in the future.
After put our lock on one of the tree, We had 5 hours left before our flight so just enough time for us to walk back down, check out the area a little, get back to the airport, pick up our carry on bags, shower and have something to eat before the flight.
I couldn't leave Korea without having Bulgogi or Bibimbap so Bulgogi bibimbap seemed to be a perfect choice.
12 hours seems like an unfair amount of time to judge wether the country is worth visiting or not. I only had a glimpse of Korea. I guess I'd would have to book another trip and give Korea a few days. Korea is definitely more than just cosmetics and expensive shopping destination.
