I sent the below report to a friend of mine yesterday, telling her my experience about what's happening.
I just thought I should tell you this and ask for your opinion and if you've witnessed that too.
The guys doing protest in Akure are 80-90% thugs o, going to the house of political leaders to do damages. Even coming to police station to harass them. The police have to give multiple shot in the air before they went back.
They set on fire an APC office yesterday and I was trying to make them see that this is not part of the protest! The political leaders rented the place! They didn't hear that and they went on.
APC office at leo Junction is damaged too.
Today, I was at leo Junction to take some pictures, where the youth has resulted to burning tires on the road, setting roadblock very close to major police HQ. They saw me and said I want to video them,I tried to make them know that it's for the social media, so that others will know we are here too. It fell on deaf hear. And I kept on walking. But they wouldn't have it.
It was a young man who took it up and collect my phone to delete the pictures I took right in front of them to convince them that there was no track of evidence again. If not, I don't know what would have happened.
May I also add that, I've stayed around Ilesha garage-aule for close to 20 years now, and I am coming out each day since this thing started, the thugs aren't from here, I also noticed they move in groups.
Almost everyone I know from the side (educated or illiterate) is not out. This guys too, I don't know them.
