Bitcoin success for Blackrock
In just about a year since launch, BlackRock’s spot Bitcoin ETF $IBIT is now generating nearly $250M per year in revenue from ETF fees, according to Bloomberg Intelligence.
That makes it bigger than BlackRock’s S&P 500 or Emerging Markets ETFs in terms of fee income.
What’s truly remarkable is the speed: most of BlackRock’s top products took decades to reach this scale. $IBIT did it in about a year.
With Bitcoin adoption accelerating and fee flows surging, Larry Fink’s Bitcoin bet looks smarter by the day. BlackRock’s stock is up +30% since $IBIT’s launch, and Bitcoin has become a major revenue engine for the world’s largest asset manager.
