So recently I was scrollin thru the glass suppliers website and noticed a color that I haven't seen before. This was "Opaline Light". Years ago a similar color came out called Opaline, and it was a gorgeous translucent blue color but it had compatibility issues and didn't work well with other colors. So when I saw this new batch of light opaline, I had to give it a try. It worked really nice and was a lot lighter than I was expecting. I actually had to leave it in my kiln for several days just to get the blues that I wanted to show up, but in the end it's just as nice looking as the original but reformulated to be easier to work with.
I didn't get much of this color because I was unsure if it was going to work well and even look nice, but now that I have confirmed it to be a decent color, I will be ordering more of it so keep an eye out for some more work made with this color.
