A picture is worth a thousand words. In modern parlance, a meme says it all.
I'd wager a guess that this dog, too, was trying to learn Express while still having a shaky handle on React. Not to go into too much detail but I am definitely struggling through Express. So hopefully I'll get the chance to have my questions answered. Our project is to build an app that makes an API call to a database of users and allows the user to invite (or not invite) certain ones to a fictional party. Each set of users is pushed into separate arrays which are displayed in separate pages. It is an app with a React front-end and an Express back-end. I can't get a handle on the project and all the moving parts that I need to work with. Part of it is the mental block of envisioning different parts on two different levels now (front and back). Its still difficult for me to focus on small parts of the project. Just picturing this massive multi-layered mess takes me right out of the game.
Enough about my struggles though. One resource I do have are my instructors. And they are here to help me. Which is one of the benefits of being in a bootcamp in the first place. I like to talk about how great it is to visit other tech companies in town and meet people, but having daily access to an instructor who has been doing this work for over 15 years is what makes the experience worth it. Someone who guides you through the insane amount of material to cover and helps get you the good stuff to get you started (so you can figure out the other things later on). And even though Stack Overflow is a great resource, its sometimes hard to use when you don't yet have the vocabulary to ask the right questions. And that's where a real-life, in-your-face person comes in handy!
