Hi, guys!
So, I've made it to the day of the surgery. Today, this whole ordeal will finally be over. In fact, all I can think about is getting home and continuing to work on the book. It's terrifying that they're keeping me in the hospital until the next morning; it's driving me crazy. But there's no other option; I have to endure it. So I'll wait until tomorrow to get back to my characters. Maybe after a day's break, my thoughts will settle a bit and things will get easier. Maybe I'll be able to finish the climax, which I got a little stuck on yesterday.
But overall, I'm almost done with the first draft. And this phantasmatic feeling is burning somewhere in my veins, and now I'm desperate to finish it completely and move on to editing. Yesterday, I gave my beta reader a tiny piece, so we're starting the process of testing the text. So far, the reaction has been very positive, and I hope I can continue to surprise her. The text poured out of me in a continuous stream over the course of four days, but now it will take much longer to put it in order. That's a whole other, separate project.
But I really like the end result. It will be truly satisfying if I manage to do it as planned. So far, everything looks very promising.
For now, I've had to put other texts on hold to finish this one. I'm working on what's currently most pressing.
Have a great day, everyone!
