... " It was a beautiful, sunny day " ... to start with this sentence is surely not the most original way to get you into the story ... but at least is the truth ... The sun was out :) and things were colorful, really looked good ... and wasn't very cold ... but neither was warm as the pictures, especially the ones with the palm tree, could let you believe ...
... it was a really cool way to start the season ...
... with just few clouds to decorate the deep blue sky ...
... and enough flowers to keep you in the slightly springtime mood ...
... I went for a pretty ordinary walk ...
... from my residence :D to the port ...
... and I saw a lot of pretty ordinary stuff, under this lovely winter sun ...
... like these mail boxes, ad example, with Christmas adverts hanging from their mouths ...
... or this strange couple of chairs ...
... the plastic one sitting in her wooden friend ... or lover ... or who knows what ... the secret life of chairs is still a big mystery ...
... a gang of magpies ... Eurasian magpies ( Pica pica, hehe, very cool scientific name, very, very cool ... and cartoonish for a change) to be more precise ... and sound a bit scientific :D ... were patrolling the neighborhood in search for a snack ...
... a nice dog passed me by, he was returning from the coast ... I said "Hi, nice day for a walk, ha ? ... I know him well, it's a small town, you know ...
... when I was almost there, in the port ...
... while standing in the middle of the shiny street with no cars in sight ...
... I turned around and took a good look at the town's center in the distance ... :D and I took this shot because things looked really good ...
... these lovely seeds ... of some unknown plant :) I mean I don't know the name of this very common plant in my region ...
... were exploding out of their pods ...
... decorating the green bushes on the seaside promenade ...
... the moss on some old walls ...
... looked gorgeous too ... creating interesting little landscapes for those with the big dose of macro - view imagination in mind ...
... when I turned to the sea ... I saw a lovely beer bottle floating like a surfaced submarine ... and splash of water nearby ... hm, some pretty large fish, I thought ... or another beer ...
... then I turned to the palms ...
... across the street ...
... some trees were loaded with beautiful fruits ...
... then I heard another splash ... I turned just in time to spot a little black detail in the jumping water ...
... back to the palms - I took a few colorful shots ... and then ...
... I decided to concentrate on the sea ... and that's how I caught this black coated coot, a common Eurasian coot ( Fulica atra ) surfacing ...
... it was a cool bird ...
... so I sat down ...
... observed her for ten minutes or so ... and took a few shots ...
... then I photographed the giant trout ...
... on the nearby house ...
... and a sea slug ...
... in the little advert - aquarium of the closed restaurant ...
... a last look at the palm ... and then a little walk ...
... around some work in progress - area ....
... and a visit to the dormant summer stands …
... waiting for the summer crowd ...
... sticky fingers is a pretty cool name :) for this kind of activity, in my opinion ... and the black color adds a bit of drama, mystery, and nice Gothic atmosphere to this simple little summer thing ... I never talked so much about some fast food stand :) hm, this one must be really something special ... looks a bit like an alien Monolith, maybe that's the reason ...
... I saw a horse nearby ...
... a plastic one ... in the little amusement park ...
... the flowers there were very big ... made of metal and plastic ... and looked pretty real, as the sun was rapidly setting down ... even the sunny, springtime - looking winter days are short ... on the next two photographs ...
