I love hot summer nights. The cricket's music and vague silhouettes of things that will reappear in their full form when the sunlight returns.
This is the unpaved road that leads through what was once a military area, I drive it almost every night on the way from my favorite stretch of coastline to the place where I live. This photograph was taken in the first hour of nighttime. I stopped the car in the middle of the road, put the camera on the hood and played with long exposure. Relatively long ... not very long, actually. 1,6 second.
Some hours prior to this nighttime stop, I was enjoying the sun & sea. Some big ships were sliding along the horizon ...
... and a friend was also there with me.
Later at night, when we were driving back home ...
... and a slice of the moon was hanging in the sky ...
... she spotted an owl on the abandoned building not far from the watchtower that you can see on these photographs. While she was approaching the bird, I decided to have a bit of fun with the aforementioned exposure ... of the relatively long kind.
She did a bit of dancing while returning to the car.
Those movements enhanced the photographs.
And that's all. Just a fragment of an ordinary summer night. As always in these posts on HIVE, the photographs are my work.
