Yesterday I had to use the bathroom. I know, I know --

My husband still wouldn't wake up yet, despite my efforts, so I gave our 4 and 3-year-olds a couple of markers, some paper, one of their shows on the TV, and I then went into the bathroom.
Not even 20 seconds later upon my entering the bathroom, I could hear one of my daughters outside the door. I opened it to peep out (while on the toilet, mind you) to find my oldest standing in front of the dresser mirror, half of her face already covered in marker.
I looked at my mother-in-law -- yes, we also live with Grandma! 馃槃 I don't bother to mention her because she is so useless, it's basically like she's nonexistent, and you are about to learn this fact for yourself...
And I abruptly confronted her -- I never intended to, but it could not be held back any longer. After many years of Grandma treating watching her grandchildren like it's a burden -- no obligation to move her lazy bones, just WATCH them, with her EYES! Under her supervision, we have caught our kids opening balcony windows, getting into drawers with sharp objects, standing on top of chairs when they were only 2ft. tall...
Whereas, my MIL EXPLODED at me -- "They're not my responsibility!! 馃が They draw on themselves with markers EVERY DAY!! 馃槨"
I replied, "Being a grandmother and being bothered to watch your grandchildren didn't end just because all your other ones are grown up -- can you please get your nose out of your phone for one minute?"
"Well, she's right," my husband chimed in several hours later when I told him about the confrontation. "Why DOES she have to listen to you?"
But seriously folks -- talk about enough never being enough for some people, huh?! 馃ゴ I'm sick with an HG pregnancy for a fifth time, dealing with nausea and vomiting, my husband still asleep, my MIL useless, no one who can be bothered to watch my children for 5 minutes -- and I'M the one getting in shit for using the bathroom (no pun intended)! 馃ゴ馃ゴ
