16 February - Friday!

Fix it! One of the holidays of the Slavic calendar, which was celebrated the day after the Meeting.
Following the saying "Prepare a sleigh in the summer, and a cart in the winter", the owners immediately after the Meeting in the morning took up early repairs of agricultural implements, calling this February day "Fixings".
Expelling Pochinki, the peasants remembered: the sooner you apply for farming, the more you will please the spring. Pull with the fixes until the real warm days of the real master is not stuck. Opening the sheds, the peasants figured: for what kind of work should one go ahead?
Worked together, with the whole family, finding the feasible work, both small and old: "In the repairs of the Grandfather there is a little light - repairing the harness of the summer and the 100-year-old plow". Repaired harness not without pride hung out in a conspicuous place - we, they say, are ready for plowing and sowing. And the housewives did not sit around idly: they cooked, washed, sorted things in chests.
There is an erroneous opinion, and it is mentioned in Pochinki that House in the night disturbs horses and can drive them to death. A housekeeper is a good housewife, not an enemy, but otherwise for what would Housekeeper in a new house from an old one be carried in a sovochke with coal from an old stove. Housekeeping is a ward for the home and not an evil one!
