As a farmer, I have started to cultivate several plant species, some of which are rice, memtimun, watermelon and green beans. one of the things that challenge me in cultivation is grayak caterpillar. Caterpillar Grayak is one of the pests that lately attack many green bean plants. Formerly this caterpillar is often referred to as a caterpillar soldier. These caterpillars often attack the plants at night, while during the day the caterpillar hides under rice plants or in the ground. In addition to attacking the caterpillar rice plants can also attack other crops such as corn, gandung, paddy and vegetable crops.

The leaves are attacked by grayak caterpillars, will be rolled up and inside there are sometimes caterpillars, live leaf repeat, the leaves will be blackish brown and so on. This pest often causes decreased productivity and even crop failures because it causes the leaves to be torn, cut into pieces and perforated. If not immediately addressed then the leaves of plants in the agricultural area will be exhausted. Young grayak caterpillar is greenish, while the instar caterpillar is finally brownish or dark gray and speckled in black and white.

Gray caterpillar is feared by farmers because every harvest season is always there. Grayak caterpillars attack green plants from all stadiums. Attacks occur at night and during the day, grayak bats hide in the base of the plant, on the ground or in hidden places. Silkworms eat leaves from the ends of the leaves and leaves the main bone left behind so live rice plants without leaf blade.

In plants that have formed panicles, grayak worms occasionally cut panicle stalks, even grayak caterpillars also attack green beans that have started yellowing. The rotting yellowing stems are rotting and dying which eventually lead to crop failure.
