I am still testing apps, bots, services, and shark schemes related to Steemit. I should have a post out tomorrow about my earliest results. Trading and transferring crypto is also taking a bit of time because I am testing different wallets and exchanges. So far, nothing horrible.
Taking it easy for the rest of the summer is a goal I hope to achieve. We will see. Part of taking it easy for me means sitting back with a cup of coffee and my cat while checking out posts by friends on social media. By social media I mean Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. I don't include Steemit on the list and that is a pity. I would love to see mass adoption of Steemit by my close friends and have the ability to like their cat pictures, reno progress, short blurbs about their day, and yes, even a political meme now and then. I would really love for my likes and votes to earn them money, but Steemit scares most people off with their "quality content" chants, threats, and groans by Steemit Nazis. Peggy Sue and Billy Bob may not want to write an ode to the endangered dung beetle, or a fictional micro-story about longing and loss on the exo-planet Zenar in order to share their lives with friends here on Steemit. Too much damn work just to be social with friends and family. They will remain on Facebook and Twitter due to the perception of barriers repeated by Steemit Nazi purists. I say screw it, get friends to sign up, share cat pictures, talk about the jack ass at the drive thru, make me laugh, and make some money. The Steemit SS will have to get over it. Maybe they can write a long-form "quality content" post about it.
