The 124th SCGA Amateur Championship was played in Southern California. I'm a golf rules official, and on this day had a blast walking with a threesome of competitors on this hilly, seaside peninsula course. The atmospheric conditions gave up warm, humid weather, along with high altitude rain. Combined, the sunlight was refracted into a unique spectrum of color. I can't call it a rainbow because, well, it's not a bow! It sure looked amazing, though. What a great way to get in 17,000 leisurely steps.
