What brought me to steemit?
Well there's a couple factors that come into play. I was big into researching crypto about a year ago. I also was following We Are Changeon Youtube which is an independant media source, since I have little faith in the mainstream rhetoric news. Luke 
Who am I?
The CryptnoToad of course! Hehe. Well I have a lot of interest in technology, sciences, plants, animals, philosophy and just how things work in general. I have education(self and formally taught) and work experience in Construction, Technology, Engineering, Computers, Customer Service, Business, Gardening and especially Cannabis. I have extensive experience in most to all aspects of Cannabis as my name my have already implied, though it has multiple meanings from gaming.
Why do I love Steem?
Well there is a few reasons for sure. For one lots of other platforms are censoring Cannabis content right now. I'm not 100% sure on this but Steem seems to harbor people with similar views on the world as me, in that we are not as free as we should be and this could literally be the beginning of a revolution in more than few ways including cannabis hope and healing.
This concept is what gets me really excited about steem. Because I have dreamt of helping us achieve a little more love and peace in a world that seems to be only spiraling downward, in our respect for mother nature and the system that supports all of the beauty around us.
I have a vision that I know I am not the only one here with it. We are lacking freedoms, everyday more seem to be taken from us in one sort of manner or another. Could we not try to create some self sustaining communities around the world that can work and trade together, somehow become sovereign states or get tax exemption as a steem religion(Rastafarian section "Waiting for the steem Jesus to take us back to sovereignty")or something. We have a currency(in a lot of ways better than any other). We can create governance through witness votes for our leaders. Or go straight to a person by person vote on any subject that comes for decision by the people. Each person would get an equal vote on every matter instead of an elected official(probably bought out I know all of them where I live most are "stone cutters") making decisions for them.
Conclusion
Well, After that big kind rant there, I do wish you all the best in this year to come. And I do have faith that steem is more powerful than Facebook and/or Google combined, IF we can get ORGANIZED TOGETHER and bring it there. I tell you to get there though we need to start to get past our personal differences, Steem is bigger than just one persons opinions. We can for real make a new world with the power we have in our hands, it will take big ups from us all though. Forgive those that may have had a disagreement with you, give a little more than you take or expect and we can learn to work and help each other. One Love Gaia! Peace be with you All!
