Ever heard of the silver egg illusion experiment????? This experiment has to be the easiest and quickest experiment ever! You could literally start and finish this whole experiment within like one minute to two minutes! What you'll need:
- An egg
- A candle or lighter
- Transparent glass
- Water
What to do:
- Get your egg and start burning it, making sure that it is black all the way.
- Next, take your fully covered black egg and submerge it into water.
- Now all you do now is watch the phenomenon!
Why does this happen??:
So when you are burning the egg you'll realize that it will begin to have a black powdery substance on it called soot, and when you submerge the egg into water it will look silver/ transparent. This happens because soot and water don't go together, so what happens is that air gets trapped between the two making it look the way it does.
