Hello Gods Unchained Community,
it's been a while since Sealed Mode was introduced in GU. Recently, Gods Unchained team reduced the entry fee and rewards, so I gave it a try.
If you don't know, Sealed is a game mode where you make your deck from 60 randomized cards from 3 different domains plus neutral cards. Skill and luck is important in this game mode.
When I opened my Sealed pool, it looked decent with some good legendaries. Here's my deck:
It is a control deck, trying to clear their board until we have cards with great value from Jason, Pickpocket, Void Steal etc...
Most of them are phenomenal cards, but there are some weird cards that I put in.
Iron-tooth Goblin: Relic is rare in Sealed but it is 2 mana 2/2, which isn't too bad.
Recursion: It has a good value, especially in early turns. You can get 2 cards that you choose for 2 mana!
Shrine Moonlighter: Tribe combos are rare in Sealed, but with Raze Imp(2 random Nether) and Screams in the Night(draw 2+1 creatures), I think it is good.
Pickpocket: Slow card but you can get another 2 cards you choose for 4 mana.
Shadow Slash: 4 mana deal 4 damage? It's slow but I had no option for removal and also it is versatile so...
Winter's Bounty: I would prefer another 6-drop but this is the best one. Healing for 20 would surprise an opponent who thought they had lethal.
This is my first win in Sealed.
I drew Jason and play it. Here, I get multiple 9-drops, but I avoid it because this was my first time playing Jason.
I clear their board. I could have used my pip but I saved it for later since I have three low cost cards and one 7-mana card.
I don't have a good way to remove their board so I use Shady Merchant + GP to set up a removal next turn.
Canopy+GP+attack removes their board. I could've also used Relic but I didnt(misplay)
They hide their creature so I can't remove their creature. Instead, I play a big frontline.
With Spear, GP and Reconnaissance, I clear one of their creatures and I also got a Carnage Sweep.
I was planning on using Circe but Carnage Sweep also destroys their board. I finally use pip to play Shrine Moonlighter, planning to play Gama and steal 2 cards.
But, I play Screams in the Night. It's a weird move since there is a few nethers in my deck, but it pays off. I play Raze Imp and Chiron.
Shrine Moonlighter is destroyed, and I use GP to clear their board. I also play some creatures, but I don't go in too much because of AoE spells.
Ares Runeblade is a really good counter. I play Winter's bounty to heal up. I also play that 1 many creature to lure their GP. This way, they can't hide their good creature.
Shadow Slash is a good top-deck allowing me to clear That Which Aches, which is a threat.
I wasn't sure to play Witherfingers on 1 creature, so I play Merry Kadmos to pull it back.
Since my 7-drops are all reactive cards, I play Gama and Loam Strider to develop my board.
I attack with Gama and steal Compost Charm. It actually gave Primal Guidance, so I'm able to clear their hidden creature by Dark Maniac
Circe clears their board and it's GG!
This is my 4th win in Sealed. I already lost twice, so it felt nail-biting.
I chose Orfeo's Distraction since Thievery felt bad when playing this deck. I hard mulligan and ends with a decent starting hand. I play my 1-drop.
I play Mottled Ranger. The choices aren't really great, but I chose Moon-Crazed Cyclops. It's a 4 mana 5/5(when frenzied). My opponent use CTI, but they pick Hippolyta.
I play Moon-Crazed Cyclops, but it is removed by Canopy Barrage and GP.
I could've dropped two 3 mana creatures, but I thought that wasn't good. Especially against magic. I pump my Frontliner.
I play Jason. The delving choices are quite easy. I could have selected Hippolyta, Divided but Eiko seemed much cooler...(when could I play Eiko?). I pump my Frontliner even more.
I destroy Wild Hog but I don't clear their chicken since going face looked more better. That wasn't really good and my opponent destroys my Loam Strider.
Playing Iron-tooth Goblin could be a waste, but at least it prevents 2 more damage. I play my Rune Moth and clear their 1/1.
The Iron Horse... I use my board to clear it. The Afterlife summons the protected anim, so I need to sacrfise my board to clear it.
Keya is Devastating and it clears all my creatures. Reject Dogma could've saved me from 5 face damage but I had healing Rune so I attacked with my relic and saved my pip. Instead I play Lysander.
Compost Charm again! Luckily, Pickpocket allows me to use it + Keya! Although the additional card isn't great, it's still fine.
They wasted a whole 6 damage to Lysander! Winter's Bounty is not helpful, so I play my frontliner and my deadly relic.
Somehow Raze Imp added Grendel, which is perfect here! I clear their board without much difficulty.
Seasonal Rebirth stops me for a little bit. I use Screams in the Night to fill my hand, and uses Keya to deal 8 damage to their face.
Beam looks kind of a waste here... Anyway, I use Shadow Slash to their face to see their deck. Not a lot of good cards, but Museum Infusion is scary. Luckily, I have Circe(deals 3 damage). I use Underbush Boar and hides it, but realizes it attacks so it didn't get hidden anymore.
Pietro tempts me to play Circe, but they have Museum Infusion so I play Dart Maniac and Primal Guidance.
Finally! After I play Circe, Vengeful Sorceress and hides it, they don't have a way to remove it. It's GG.
In this game, I lose by bad luck+wrong GP.
(The cards weren't really good)
It was a good Sealed Run in general. However, I don't think I'm going to play Sealed more because I'm saving up my GODS to watch what will happen.
