Two days of updates at splinterlanes.com: Draft Mode gets a truer name, matchmaking works a lot harder to put two searching players in the same battle, and the battlefield reads better on every screen.
A truer name for what it is: open 3 Packs, cut 10, battle the Deck — that's Sealed, and it now lives under Sealed in the top menu (Virtual Sealed and Real Sealed, same queues and Ratings as before).
A real change came with the rename: Virtual Packs now open in exactly the same shape as Real ones — 1 Legendary, 1 Epic, 3 Rares and 15 Commons, with 3 Neutral monsters guaranteed, and any of those slots can be the Neutral. Virtual keeps its perk of dealing from every playable card in Splinterlands, including Foundations, but Virtual Decks now land at a much more even strength.
And true pick-and-pass Draft — passing packs around a table of AI drafters at your own pace — is coming later. The name is reserved and the seat is waiting.
Matchmaking now tries much harder to put two players together. Whenever you and another player are both searching, you get each other — and while someone else is active on the site, your search holds out longer to meet them. The Ranked tile and the result screen now say when a player is searching at that very moment — jump in and it's likely them you meet.
