As I have mentioned before, when growing seedlings, they need an adjustment period, to sunlight and wind, before going outside. That's called Hardening off!
My squash, melon, and cucumber were first for this Hardening off, and as a result, some were planted today! In addition to the Squash, Melon, Pumpkin and a few Pepper plants, I also transplanted some Greek Basil, and Sweet Italian Oregano, into the herb garden.
Above: Seedlings moved outside today: Butternut Squash, Pumpkin, and Sugar Baby Watermelon Below: Transplanted 3 Sweet Banana Pepper seedlings, too.
Above: One Sunbright Yellow Sweet Bell Pepper seedling transplanted today, too.
The plants still being Hardened Off to go outside:
Coral Bell Red Pepper, Purple Pepper, another Sunbright Yellow Bell
14 types of Tomato,
2 types Zucchini,
Honeydew Melon,
Spaghetti Squash,
Golden Summer Squash,
4 kinds of Cucumbers,
Green and Red Brussels Sprouts
Hardening Off Plants will continue, with some being transplanted into their Grow Bags, tomorrow, and some planting Sunday. The temperatures will be in the High 90'sºF (almost 40ºC) this weekend, so I will need to be careful and make sure they are watered regularly!
