ABOVE,I've planted 2 different Pumpkin (bottom left), 2 Butternut Squash (middle two), and top right, 3 Sugar Baby Watermelon, a small 12 inch (30cm) round watermelon, relatively seedless.
They all get the same water, same sun, and same soil, for starters. Not sure why some are growing faster than others... who knows?
Above: Some Golden Sweet Peas, about to get harvested. My problem is, I picked a big bowl of them... and ate them, while outside today., watering the rest of the plants.
There's a few days of some decent weather ahead of this storm, with light winds, moderate rains and partly cloudy days. That may sound troublesome, but for growing a garden? THAT'S nirvana! No watering for me, no worries about heat and drying, and no nasty winds. Perfect for plants.
Above: Cherokee Purple Tomato, coming soon. These are relatively big purple/red tomato that are sweet and I make a fantastic sauce with.
Below: San Marzano Plum style tomato. Good for sauces, and also for Capr茅se Salad. Fresh, easy slicing, and perfect for snacking.
Above: Brandywine. A large yellow and red striped tomato. New for me to grow... we shall see! I see lot's of blossom, and lots of small tomato on the vines.
