ABOVE, Of the seven Tomato Plants I put in here, 6 are doing well. If the two Cucumber, one is great the other didn't make it.
The garden area here is MUCH more shaded. There's a few hours less direct sunlight, so, this garden is a bit behind my other one in terms of harvesting. It is also much easier in terms of watering, again, LOTS less sun, so less evaporation here. Back there? About 15 degrees warmer than here, by the sea. Also helps with keeping plants cooler.
Above Of course, when I say "cooler here" I mean normally. we did have a massive Camper fire, at one of our neighbor's place. they lost it all, and it also burned some damage for two other campers. In addition, the fire burned one of the power poles, and so, two rows of campsites were without power for a few days. Last couple of days, there has been some intermittent power outages, too. BUT, today:
Below the power company finished repairing lines, and also replacing some transformers and replacing a big Fuse.
I spoke the with lineman working on the problem, and he mentioned that he thinks the repairs should hold up now, for a while.
EDIT: I spoke tooo soon! the power has been dipping and going brownout some. The camp sites across from the fire are completely without electricity. We're fine for now, but many others have none.
