PTSD
Awareness.
When you have post-traumatic stress disorder it will take you longer to get things done. Even if you plan something ahead of time it will still take you longer to get it done it might take hours it might take days it might take weeks and might even take months or years. This is partly because our executive functioning is damaged in the frontal lobe of our brain. Not to mention the feelings of demoralisation and disempowerment that come along with post-traumatic stress disorder. Not to mention the lack of support we often have to deal with in the world from people that don't seem to understand what we are going through. So to be disgusted with someone because they don't seem to be getting things done like you are or they don't seem to be succeeding the way you are.
look up post-traumatic stress disorder. It is not just a veterans problem it is also a problem very common in civilians. Especially in developed countries such as the United States. It does not do us any good to call us lazy, losers, or people with things wrong with us. It might help you vent your frustration but it doesn't help solve any problems. People with post-traumatic stress disorder are frustrated too.
We are people with feelings too and it hurts our feelings when you put us down.
Even better, let's work together to eradicate many of the causes of post-traumatic stress disorder---abuse and harsh attitudes and treatment toward one another. Let's stop abusing one another and try to understand one another more. Let's try and have a more forgiving, tolerant attitude toward one another. What works for one person may not work for someone else. Post-traumatic stress disorder is real and it is not just a veterans problem.
